The Canon of Scripture
De Canone Scripturae
Which books belong in the Bible — and by what rule? First state the principle you mean to use. Then sit as judge over each disputed book in turn, reading its history before you rule. At the end, the docket reports which historic canon you reconstructed — and whether your verdicts kept faith with your own stated rule.
How this works
This is not a branching quiz but a docket. You will first answer four questions about the rule you intend to apply. Then you will review the contested books one at a time — the undisputed books (Genesis, the Gospels, and the rest) are in every canon and are set aside. After each ruling, you will see who, historically, received the book and who set it aside. The closing synthesis names the canon your verdicts trace, and — the sharp part — tests whether the rule you announced at the start actually produced the verdicts you gave. It does not tell you which canon is correct; it tells you whether you were consistent.
